What We Offer
Our sessions are designed for individuals who are fluent in either English or German and wish to enhance their proficiency in the other language.
Here’s how it works
Weekly Sessions: Held online. Days and times may vary, depending on votes.
Bilingual Practice: Half the time in English, half in German.
Interactive Format: Discuss pre-selected topics or videos, and engage in breakout sessions.
Peer Interaction: Paired discussions and group feedback ensure a balanced practice.
About me
After living in the U.S. for seven years, I started looking for a conversation partner to improve and maintain my English skills. Sure, I could have taken classes, but I found it difficult to find something suitable. Besides, I feel that classes often create an artificial atmosphere, and since everyone is there to learn, it's hard to get into that flow of a real conversation. To truly learn how to speak, you need contact with native speakers, and they aren't always easy to find, especially here in Germany. This is something many international people I've met in Germany have also experienced. They would love to improve their language skills and meet new people outside of school and work.
To bring all of this together, the idea for the Conversation Practice Club was born.
